Pedigree of Edmond Jean Forstall of New Orleans (1793-1873)

Edmond Jean Forstall of New Orleans was the son of Edouard Forstall, and grandson of Nicholas Forstall of New Orleans. Edmond Jean served as a Corporal in the War of 1812 and afterwards became a successful merchant banker and polymath who served as president of the Shreveport branch of Citizens' Bank of Louisiana. Significantly, Edmond Jean was also an agent for Hope & Co and afterwards Baring Bros Bank. Edmond's grandfather Nicholas Forstall of New Orleans (b. 1727) was the son of Nicholas Forstall of Martinique, and grandson of Edmond Duff Forstall of Gurteens Castle and Kellymount.
